01 / The problem

Technical knowledge only creates value when people can find it.

For an industrial B2B organisation, the website often sits between a technical expert and a customer trying to make a decision. Product information, specifications and supporting documents cannot simply be uploaded into an archive and called a resource centre. They need structure.

01
300+ documents need a system.

PDFs and HTML resources needed to be organised around meaningful topics and categories rather than existing as an undifferentiated library.

02
Technical users need speed.

The experience had to support fast discovery on desktop and mobile, with clear paths into the right resource.

03
Accessibility cannot be a layer.

The build needed WCAG-compliant theming while keeping the information architecture usable for real-world technical audiences.

02 / The resource system

Stop treating documents like files. Treat them like knowledge.

The solution used structured Drupal content to turn a large technical library into something users could filter, understand and act on. The resource experience became part of the platform's information architecture rather than a folder hidden behind a navigation label.

03 / Engineering decisions

Design the path to the answer.

DECISION 01

Structure before styling.

Content was organised by topic and category so the system could support meaningful filtering and retrieval instead of relying on filenames and folders.

DECISION 02

Search is a task.

The resource experience was designed around the user's job: identify the right technical information, open it quickly and continue the decision process.

DECISION 03

Mobile is part of the job.

Responsive delivery mattered because technical information is not always consumed at a desk. The platform was built mobile-first with accessibility in mind.

04 / Evidence

A technical library that behaves like a product.

The documented project scope gives us a clear set of facts. We use those facts rather than inventing conversion or traffic numbers.

05 / What changed
The value wasn't adding another document library. It was making the technical knowledge inside the organisation usable.
Growibes' role

Drupal platform development with a structured technical resource library, filterable content by topic and category, PDF and HTML document management, mobile-first responsive delivery and WCAG-compliant theming.
